GreenEchoes Studio produced a review of GMK TriggerKey, an accessory that turns key presses into lever actions around a pivot, for Greenkeys, the specialist media outlet it operates.
We published the article in Japanese and English, using photos and text to explain its structure and conditions of use after examining installation, adjustment, and the feel of regular typing.
Explaining a Distinctive Mechanism Clearly Through Hands-On Testing and Photos
GMK TriggerKey is a keycap accessory with a lever mechanism that attaches to the housing of compatible key switches.
The article explains how to install and adjust it, which differs from a standard keycap, and illustrates the process with photos of the actual product.
Along with the product’s features, we outline points to check before purchase, including how the shape of a key switch’s housing affects whether the accessory can be installed.
What We Checked and Areas for Further Testing
The main production and testing activities were as follows:
- Photographing the product’s appearance, construction, and included accessories
- Checking installation, removal, and angle adjustment on the actual product
- Checking the feel during regular typing
- Reviewing official compatibility information alongside hands-on findings
- Producing and publishing Japanese and English reviews
The article identifies the keyboard and key switches used for testing and specifies the scope of the evaluation.
Evaluation during gaming, extended use, and use with magnetic switches were outside the scope of this testing. The article distinguishes expectations and discussion about usability from what we were able to verify with the actual product.
We received the product and a fee for producing this review.
Our assessment of the product is based on what we verified with the actual product, and the article discloses the production and product-provision arrangement.
