GOPPA RapidJAM Developer Interview Produced | From On-Site Reporting and Photography to Publication in Japanese and English

GreenEchoes Studio produced a developer interview about GOPPA’s leverless controller, RapidJAM, for Greenkeys, its specialist keyboard and input-device media outlet.

Based on on-site reporting at Tokyo Keyboard Expo 2026 (TKX2026), we photographed the event and handled the article’s structure, writing, and editing, publishing it in Japanese and English.

Explaining the Design Intent Through the Developer’s Words and Demonstrations

RapidJAM is a fighting game controller that uses buttons to input directional commands.

In the interview, we asked Nobuo Kawamura, who led development, about the thinking behind the buttons’ shapes and placement, how they are pressed, and the dimensions of the enclosure.

Rather than simply listing the product’s specifications, the article uses the developer’s words and photographs to explain the intended uses and challenges that informed its design.

To make the subject accessible to readers familiar with keyboards, we also explained how leverless controllers work and how they relate to magnetic switches.

From Reporting and Photography to Article Production and Publication in Japanese and English

The main work carried out for this project included:

• An in-person interview with the developer at TKX2026 and review of a live operation demonstration
• Photography for the article and review of the product’s construction and operation
• Structuring, writing, and editing the article to convey the development background and design intent
• Publication of Japanese- and English-language articles on Greenkeys

The article distinguishes statements from the interview from the author’s explanations, helping readers follow the background behind the product.

GOPPA provided a fee for producing this article and a product sample.

Greenkeys handled the structure, wording, and final editorial decisions. The article is presented separately from any performance evaluation based on extended gameplay.
